Hi and thank you for taking time to look at my E sommet. Its was PDId at the end of august and received beginning of September and since then I have done just under 600 miles of great fun, mainly local riding around Salisbury on natural bridleways. As a keen mountain biker but with a job that demands a lot of weekend working my fitness has never really got off the ground and found during the brilliant summer weather we had the thing that stopped me riding more was myself.
This bike has solved that and allowed me to explore more than ever. It is the standard VRS spec but is a run out sunset edition meaning it is solid metallic grey throughout with orangey graphics, I invisiframed this from new so aside from the odd small mark the paintwork is great condition as it should be. The RRP for this model was 4299 and at this price point it comes with a great spec which is what attracted me. Fox 36 performance ebike specific forks.
Fox dpx2 elite rear shock. DT Swiss h1700 hybrid wheel set.
Maxxis assegai max grip tyres set up tubeless. SRAM guide RE brake set.
Shimano XT 12 speed gears. All propelled by he powerful shimano E8000 running system. I have however made some small changes, I like my dropper as low as possible so have swapped out the dropper to a one up components 180mm post, this is set as low as it will go in the frame, however it can be shimmed down up to 20mm easily. I will include the O.
E dropper as well so it can be turned back to standard if required. I didnt get along with the brand x dropper remote so swapped it out for the excellent Wolf tooth components one, which has a nicer feel - again the original brand x remote is included. Like many new bikes the cheap nasty headset which felt a little notchy has been changed for a nukeproof horizon one with stainless steel bearings and titanium coating. Ive fitted a shorter 35mm nukeproof horizon stem as Ive always favoured a short stem, the 45mm nukeproof stem that came with the bike is included in the sale, incase that doesnt suit. Ive changed the bars to some Renthal fat bars, this is due to the fact I like the same bars on all my bikes but again will include the original bars in sale incase the fat bars dont suit.
I soon discovered that I could go on longer than one battery, so bought an additional 504wh BT-E8010 battery to add masses more range to my rides (effectively doubling range) this has been great fun and you really can go for hours and explore. Ive replaced the grips with my go to choice of DMR deathgrips but again include the originals. The bike includes the excellent nukeproof horizon flat pedals, which are virtually new. The quicker EC-E6000 charger is included in the sale which can charge the battery up to 80% in 2 hours. The fork comes with a bolt on RRP front mud fender.I have cable tied on a rear fender, its actually a pro guard front fender but it keeps mud and water from spraying into the bearings of the suspension, the back of the rear shock and motor area. Some rub to crankset - this is purely from my size 12s rubbing. All in all a great bike, lots of spares and an expensive additional battery. Bank transfer on collection preferred. Covid compliant viewings possible from Salisbury Wiltshire.
